Synospis Un homme (Sharlto Copley) se réveille dans un puits rempli de cadavres et aucun souvenir de la manière dont il est arrivé là. Fuyant la scène, il pénètre dans une maison à proximité et est accueilli par un groupe d’étrangers terrifitants, tous souffrant de perte de mémoire. Une information depuis variety.com, 31 juillet 2013, annonce que Zhang Yimou serait en discussion avec la Warner pour reprendre la réalisation de Quasimodo après que Tim Burton en ait été/se soit retiré. Les scénaristes et acteurs resteraient ceux du projet initial.
Ce projet a vu le jour il y a deux ans. Josh Brolin en serait l'initiateur.

Le film rentrerait en production lorsque le réalisateur aura terminé Return

En août 2013, Zhao Zhang, président de LeVision Pictures Co Ltf., aurait refusé de confirmer cette information.
