Charity Program in 2006 - All fund raised will be donated to ORBIS in the name of Leslie
Love continues to grow in remembrance of our dear Leslie.
2006 is a year of both happiness and sadness for Leslie's fans worldwide.
2006 brings the happiness of celebrating the 50th birthday of Leslie, the beloved superstar of contemporary music, the best actor forever, and the ultimate legend of performing arts in the history of Hong Kong.
Sadly, depression took Leslie away from us. We will not be able to celebrate this big day with him.
But Leslie will live in our hearts forever.
We will always remember his smile, his sensual voice and every move he made. Leslie's life-long pursuit in artistic excellence, his loyalty to people he loved and cared about and his generosity in helping those in need set a good example for us to follow.
As Leslie's 50th birthday approaches, Leslie Legacy Association (LLA), a non-profit making organization composed of fans from Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Italy, USA and Mainland China has planned a series of commemorative charitable events in the loving spirit of Leslie. The details are set out below:

What is in the set:
1. Photo album: a valuable collection of beautiful photos of Leslie taken by fans from all over the world which have never been published before. Each photo will be accompanied by narratives on the occasion of the encounter with our legend.
2. Commemorative DVD: included in this DVD will be the music video and its sing-along version of the song , the favourite remembrance song of Leslie's fans ( Hon Yeung has generously offered LLA free copyright on the song). The music video contains footages of Leslie's images.

Leslie's Birthday Party and Charity Cheque Handover Ceremony
When: Sunday, September 10, 2006
Where: Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre
Programme:
1. Celebration: Gather fans from different parts of the world to celebrate Leslie's birthday in Hong Kong.
2. Charity Cheque Handover Ceremony: All proceeds from the sale of the DVD + photo album set, after deduction of administrative and production costs, will go to ORBIS (www.orbis.org), a charitable organization focused in helping the visually impaired. A cheque representing donation to ORBIS will be presented in support of their work.

Our Goal
Our goal is to raise charity funds, which hopefully will be a handsome amount with your generous support. We will present the funds by way of donation cheques to ORBIS in the name of Leslie as our present to him on his 50th birthday.

c'est étrange ce politiquement correct... j'aurais plutôt pensé à une association de lutte contre le SIDA qui fait des ravages dans la région...

I guess it's not because Leslie was gay that the charity money should go to a gay or a AIDS association. I think it's a bit of a stereotype
